From the South or East
Leave the M6 motorway at junction 36, then at roundabout take the exit onto the A590 (signposted Kendal, Barrow). The A590 becomes the A591 after a few miles.
Continue on the A591 signposted Windermere, travelling past Stavely and through Ings before entering Windermere. Stay on the A591.
At the mini roundabout carry on straight across (signposted Ambleside) and after approximately 2 miles you enter Troutbeck Bridge with the Sun Hotel bar and restaurant on your right and the Spar/Esso garage on your left. Half a mile further on you will find White Cross Bay situated on the left.
From the North
Leave the M6 at junction 40 and take the 4th exit onto the A66 (signposted Keswick).
Continue on the A66 to Threlkeld and turn onto the B5322 (signposted St. Johns in the Vale).
At the junction with the A591 turn left (signposted Ambleside). Continue on the A591 through Ambleside towards Windermere and after approximately 2 miles you will find White Cross Bay on the right.
