Terms & Conditions of Booking



The Holiday Contract

The following terms & conditions (the 'booking conditions') will apply to your booking. A contract between you and the owners of Beckside Lodge will come into existence either (i) when we accept your booking & deposit payment by issuing written confirmation of your booking or (ii) if you have made your booking by telephone when we tell you on the telephone that your booking is confirmed. The contract binds you & all the members of your party. It is your responsibility to ensure that all members of your party accept the terms of the contract set out in these terms & conditions of booking. Failure to disclose all relevant information or comply with these terms may lead to termination of the contract & loss of the booking.


Deposits

A non-refundable deposit of £100 is payable at the time of booking. Bookings made less than six weeks before your arrival date must be accompanied by the full amount of the holiday charge. There is a Barrier to the entrance of the park which a key card is available from the reception at a deposit cost of £20.


Balance

Balance - The Balance must be paid so as to arrive no later than six weeks before the commencement of your holiday. If the balance is not received by the due date then your holiday will be treated as a cancellation. For security reasons please do not send cash by post.


Damage Deposit

We do not administer a damage deposit. However, in making a booking you accept responsibility for any damage caused by you or any member of your party and agree to indemnify us in full for any loss that we may incur as a result. Please note that in the event that any keys issued are not returned at the end of your stay, then the cost of replacement will charged to you.


Damage to Property

Please treat the facilities & accommodation with due care so that other guests may continue to enjoy them. In the event that you notice damage in your accommodation please let us know immediately so that we can take the appropriate action. Accommodation will be inspected at the end of the holiday & you may be charged for any loss or damage found.


Cleaning /Laundry Charge

A cleaning & laundry charge is already included in the cost of your holiday. Should you wish to have the lodge cleaned during your stay this can be arranged by us at your own cost of £40.


Payment

Payments can be made by cheque or postal order, bank transfer (details on request), made payable to Mr. & Mrs. K Gornell and sent to the address specified on the booking form.


Cancellations

If you cancel your holiday more than 6 weeks before it is due to start then your deposit will be forfeit. If you cancel less than 6 weeks prior to the holiday it will render the client liable for the full holiday cost if we are unable to re-let. We strongly recommend that you take out suitable holiday insurance. If you choose not to then you accept responsibility for any loss that you may incur due to your cancellation.


Changes to your booking

After you have paid your deposit you may wish to change some elements of the holiday. We will try to meet your request, however, a charge of £10 per alteration to the holiday will be payable. Any changes must be made at least 4 weeks before the holiday date & be confirmed to us in writing/by telephone by the same person who made the booking.


Use of the Lodge

Only those people listed on the booking form can occupy the lodge and use the facilities of White Cross Bay Holiday Park. If this legal requirement is not met, your booking will be terminated & you will be asked to leave with no refund being made.


Arrival & Departure Times

On your day of arrival your accommodation is available from 4.00 p.m. Should you wish to arrive earlier you can take advantage of the Park facilities (payable locally) until your accommodation is ready for you. Our cleaners do need time to do their job properly so we ask that you should not arrive at the Lodge before they have finished. In order for us to prepare for our next guests we do ask that you vacate your accommodation by 10.00 a.m. on your day of departure.


Late Arrivals

Unless we are previously notified, you must claim your accommodation by 8.00am on the day after your holiday was due to start, otherwise your booking will be treated as cancelled.


Smoking

Smoking is strictly forbidden inside the lodge.


Barbecues

For safety reasons the use of the Barbeque must only be used by an adult. For the comfort of future guests it is your responsibility to clean the Barbeque and all utensils used.


Disabled Guests

We are sorry but Beckside Lodge has steps and is not easily accessible by guests who need to use wheelchairs. We are happy to provide as much advice & information as possible to people with disabilities who wish to holiday at Beckside Lodge. Please contact us for more information.


Cots & highchairs

A travel cot & highchair are available at no extra charge. Please enquire at time of booking. If a cot is booked please remember to bring your own cot linen.


Children

Please note that children remain the responsibility of their parents or guardians at all times.


Dogs & other pets

A maximum of two dogs are allowed in the lodge on the clear understanding that in no circumstances may they lie on the bedding or the chairs. Dogs must not be left unattended in the Lodge or elsewhere at any time. Failure to comply with this requirement may result in curtailment of your holiday. We reserve the right to decline certain breeds of dog. Where dogs are permitted, they must always wear a collar and if possible an identity tag & be kept on a lead under the control of a responsible adult at all times. We reserve the right to require the owner of any dog to remove it from the lodge if we consider it a nuisance or to be interfering with the general comfort of other guests. We are unable to take bookings for the following breeds of dog: American Pit Bull, Japanese Tosa, Dogue Argentina, Fila Brasileiro or any other dog deemed dangerous by the Dangerous Dogs Act.


Electrical Equipment/Appliances

Only the electrical equipment & appliances supplied by us within the accommodation are to be used. For your safety, and the safety of others, and to prevent a potential fire risk the use of your own electrical equipment and other appliances requiring a mains voltage is not permitted.


Right of Entry

We reserve the right to enter accommodation at any time under any circumstances or emergencies.


Unreasonable behaviour

We reserve the right to terminate a holiday without compensation where the unreasonable behaviour of the persons named on the booking or their guests may impair the enjoyment, comfort or health of other guests at White Cross Bay Holiday Park.


Availability of facilities

In some circumstances accommodation, entertainment or a facility may be temporarily withdrawn due to maintenance, renovation, adverse weather conditions or any other factor outside our control. We reserve the right to make such alterations as are necessary in the above circumstances without prior notice, and are unable to pay compensation for any inconvenience caused. Certain facilities are subject to an additional cost. Please note availability of off-peak facilities like those at the leisure facilities at White Cross Bay, the restaurant and on-site shop may be reduced or restricted at certain times of year - please enquire at time of booking.


Brochure Accuracy

We shall use our best endeavours to ensure the availability of all amenities advertised in the brochure or elsewhere. All information, pictures and descriptions published have been compiled from up-to-date and accurate information available at the time of compilation and are published in good faith.


Data Protection Policy Statement

We will hold information provided by you to us in connection with your booking(s). It will be used in connection with your booking & for informing about the lodge.


Special Offers

Special offers can only be honoured if mentioned at the time of booking.


Limitation of Liability

We accept responsibility for those arrangements of your holiday which are within our control, but we cannot accept liability for any injury, loss or damage, consequential or otherwise suffered by you or any other member of your party, unless there was willful default by us, our employees or agents, or unless death or personal injury was caused by our negligence.


Law

English Law applies to this contract.


Variation

We reserve the right to make reasonable amendments or additions to these terms and conditions without notice.


Our promise

We are here to help - If you feel that you have any comments or complaints whilst on holiday, you should contact us during your stay so that we can try to resolve any problems as soon as possible. Any other complaints or problems must be brought to our attention in writing within 28 days of the end of your holiday.
